Once upon a time, in the snowy Arctic, there lived a little polar bear named Poko. Poko loved to watch the stars at night. Every evening, he would sit on a soft snowbank and gaze up at the twinkling lights. “I wish I could touch a star,” he whispered.

One night, a tiny star fell from the sky and landed right in front of him. “Ouch!” said the star. “Are you okay?” asked Poko. “I’m fine, but I’m lost. Can you help me get back to the sky?” the star replied. Poko’s eyes sparkled. “Of course! I’ll help you.”

Poko gently picked up the star and put it on his back. The star was warm and glowed softly. “How will we get to the sky?” asked Poko. “We need to climb the tallest mountain,” said the star. So off they went.

On their journey, they met a wise old owl. “Where are you going?” asked the owl. “We’re taking this star back to the sky,” said Poko. “That’s a long journey. You’ll need courage and kindness,” said the owl. Poko nodded and continued.

They walked through a forest of sparkling ice trees. The star’s light made the ice glow like diamonds. “It’s beautiful,” said Poko. “You make everything beautiful,” said the star. Poko felt happy.

Soon, they came to a river. It was too wide to cross. “How will we get across?” asked Poko. Just then, a friendly seal appeared. “I can help you,” said the seal. “Hop on my back.” Poko and the star climbed onto the seal’s back, and the seal swam across the river.

On the other side, they met a group of playful penguins. “Where are you going?” asked the penguins. “To the tallest mountain,” said Poko. “We’ll come with you!” said the penguins. So they all marched together.

As they walked, the wind blew cold, but Poko held the star close. The star’s warmth kept him going. Finally, they reached the tallest mountain. It was very high. “We can’t climb that,” said the penguins. “We can if we work together,” said Poko. So they formed a ladder, each standing on the other’s shoulders. Poko climbed up and up, with the star on his back.

At the top, Poko lifted the star high. “Goodbye, little star,” he said. “Thank you, Poko,” said the star. “You are brave and kind. I will always shine for you.” The star floated up into the sky and joined the other stars.

Poko watched until the star was home. He felt a warm glow in his heart. He climbed down and thanked his friends. “You were all wonderful,” he said. They all cheered.

That night, Poko returned to his snowbank. He looked up and saw the star shining brightly. It twinkled as if to say, “I’m here, Poko.” Poko smiled and closed his eyes. He dreamed of stars and friends and kindness.

And from that day on, Poko knew that even a small bear could do great things with a little help and a lot of heart.
