Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a kind king named Leo. He ruled his kingdom with love and fairness, and everyone in the land was happy. King Leo had a big, beautiful castle with tall towers and colorful flags. But what made him truly special was his heart full of kindness.
One sunny morning, while King Leo was tending his rose garden, he heard a tiny squeak. He looked down and saw a little mouse caught in a thorn bush. The mouse struggled but couldn’t get free. The king gently freed the mouse, who trembled with fear. “Don’t worry, little one,” said the king softly. “You are safe now.” The mouse looked up at the king with grateful eyes and said, “Thank you, Your Majesty. I am Timmy. One day, I will repay your kindness.” The king smiled and said, “You are very small, Timmy. But your heart is big. Run along home.” Timmy scurried away, but he never forgot the king’s kindness.
That night, a bad storm hit the kingdom. The wind howled, and the rain poured down. In the middle of the night, a group of robbers sneaked into the castle. They tied up the guards and locked the king in his bedroom. The robbers planned to steal the royal treasure at dawn. King Leo was scared, but he tried to stay calm. He prayed for help, even for a small one.
Meanwhile, little Timmy was hiding in the castle walls. He had seen everything. “I must help the king!” he thought. Timmy crept into the king’s bedroom through a tiny hole. He whispered, “Your Majesty, I am here to help. I will find a way.” The king was surprised and happy to see Timmy. “But you are so small, Timmy. What can you do?” Timmy said, “I may be small, but I am brave and clever.” Timmy gnawed through the rope that bound the king’s hands. Then he led the king through secret passages in the castle walls to the guard room. The guards were still tied up. Timmy quickly chewed through their ropes. The guards freed themselves and captured the robbers.
The kingdom was saved! King Leo held a feast in honor of Timmy the mouse. The king said, “Never underestimate someone because of their size. Bravery and kindness come in all sizes.” Timmy became a hero in the kingdom, and he and the king remained best friends forever. And so, the kingdom lived happily ever after, learning that even the smallest friends can make a big difference.
