Once upon a time, in a land far away, there stood a majestic castle on top of a high hill. The castle was protected by a brave guard named Leo. Leo was not the biggest or the strongest guard, but he had the biggest heart and was always ready to protect his kingdom.
One night, under the cover of darkness, a group of sneaky shadows crept towards the castle. They were the Night Crawlers, creatures who loved to take things that didn’t belong to them. Leo, who was on duty, spotted them immediately. Instead of fighting them with his sword, Leo used his wit. He remembered that Night Crawlers were afraid of light and laughter.
Leo quickly lit all the torches around the castle walls, making the area as bright as day. Then, he started telling the funniest jokes he knew. The Night Crawlers, unable to resist, started laughing uncontrollably. Their laughter grew so loud that it woke up the entire castle. The king and his knights came out to see what was happening. Seeing the bright lights and hearing the laughter, the Night Crawlers ran away, never to return.
The king was so impressed with Leo’s bravery and quick thinking that he awarded him the Golden Shield of Courage. From that day on, Leo was known as the bravest guard in the kingdom, not for his strength, but for his heart and wit.
