In a lush, green jungle filled with tall trees and bright flowers, lived a little parrot named Polly. Polly had feathers as green as the leaves around her, but she dreamed of having colorful feathers like the rainbow. Every day, she would watch the other birds with their vibrant hues and wish she could be as beautiful as them.

One sunny morning, Polly decided to go on an adventure to find colors for her feathers. She flew from tree to tree, asking her friends for help. First, she met a red cardinal who suggested she eat red berries. Polly tried a few, but her feathers stayed green. Then, she met a blue jay who told her to swim in a blue pond. Polly dipped her wings in, but nothing changed.

Feeling a bit sad, Polly flew higher and saw a wise old owl perched on a branch. The owl hooted softly and said, “Little Polly, true colors come from within. You don’t need to change; you are already special just the way you are.” Polly thought about this and realized that being green was part of who she was, and it helped her hide in the trees to stay safe.

As she flew back home, Polly noticed how her green feathers shimmered in the sunlight, blending perfectly with the jungle. She felt happy and proud. That night, as she settled into her nest, she dreamed of flying through a sky full of colors, knowing that her own color was the most wonderful of all.
