In a sunny meadow near a whispering forest, there lived a little cicada named Cici. Cici was different from other cicadas because she was born with wings that shimmered like morning dew. Every summer, all the cicadas would sing their loud songs from the trees, but Cici felt her song was too quiet. She dreamed of creating the most beautiful summer melody that would make the whole meadow dance.

One warm afternoon, Cici met Benny the butterfly, who was practicing graceful loops in the air. “Your wings are so pretty, Cici!” Benny exclaimed. “But why do you look sad?” Cici sighed, “I want to sing a special song for summer, but my voice is too soft.” Benny fluttered his colorful wings and said, “Maybe you need to find the Summer Song Stone. Legend says it’s hidden in the Whispering Forest and can amplify the gentlest sounds into magical melodies.”

With newfound hope, Cici embarked on her adventure. She flew past the daisy field where ladybugs played tag and over the babbling brook where frogs croaked cheerful tunes. As she entered the Whispering Forest, the trees seemed to murmur secrets. “Follow the fireflies when dusk falls,” rustled an old oak tree. Cici waited patiently until tiny lights began to twinkle around her.

The fireflies led Cici to a mossy clearing where glowing mushrooms formed a circle. In the center sat a smooth, rainbow-colored stone humming softly. “The Summer Song Stone!” Cici whispered. As she touched it with her antennae, the stone pulsed with warm light. Suddenly, Cici felt a vibration in her wings she’d never felt before.

Cici began to sing her quiet song, and something wonderful happened. The stone transformed her gentle hum into a symphony that echoed through the forest. Birds stopped chirking to listen, rabbits paused their hopping, and even the wind seemed to hold its breath. The melody told stories of sunshine and rain, of flowers blooming and seeds growing, of friendship and discovery.

When Cici finished, the forest creatures gathered around her. “That was the most beautiful summer song we’ve ever heard!” chirped a sparrow. The stone’s magic had not just amplified Cici’s song—it had helped her find the music that was always inside her heart. Cici realized her quiet voice wasn’t a weakness but a special gift that needed the right moment to shine.

Cici returned to the meadow as the stars began to twinkle. All the cicadas gathered to hear her new song. As she sang, her shimmering wings caught the moonlight, creating dancing patterns on the grass. The other cicadas joined in, their chorus blending with hers to create a summer lullaby that drifted through the night.

From that summer on, Cici taught all the young cicadas that everyone has their own special song to share. She showed them that adventures help us discover our hidden gifts, and that sometimes what we think is our smallest voice can become our greatest strength when shared with courage and heart.

And every warm evening, if you listen carefully near a sunny meadow, you might still hear echoes of Cici’s summer song—a gentle reminder that even the quietest voices have magical stories to tell, and that summer’s greatest adventures often begin with a single, brave whisper.
