Once upon a time, in a lush green pond lived a tiny rain frog named Pip. Pip was small and green, with big curious eyes that sparkled like dew drops. Every night, he would sit on a lily pad and gaze up at the moon. The moon was big and bright, and it made him feel safe and happy.

One night, the moon didn’t appear. The sky was dark, and the stars seemed dim. Pip felt sad and worried. “Where did the moon go?” he asked his friend, a friendly dragonfly named Dizzy. Dizzy shook his head. “I don’t know, Pip. Maybe it’s hiding behind the clouds.”

But Pip was determined. He decided to go on an adventure to find the moon. He hopped off his lily pad and swam across the pond. The water was cool and gentle. He met a turtle named Tommy. “Tommy, have you seen the moon?” Tommy slowly looked up. “No, little frog. But I heard the moon likes to play hide-and-seek with the sun.”

Pip continued. He climbed up a thick mossy log and entered the forest. The trees were tall and their leaves whispered secrets. He saw a firefly named Fiona. “Fiona, can you help me find the moon?” Fiona blinked her light. “Follow me, little one. I’ll light your way.”

They walked through the forest. The ground was soft with fallen leaves. They passed a sleepy owl named Oliver. “Hoot! Hoot! What are you looking for?” asked Oliver. “The moon,” said Pip. Oliver blinked his big yellow eyes. “The moon is up there, beyond the tallest tree. But you must be brave.”

Pip felt a little scared, but he remembered the moon’s gentle light. He hopped on. Finally, they reached a clearing. In the middle stood the tallest tree in the forest. Its branches reached up into the dark sky. “Maybe the moon is up there,” said Fiona.

Pip looked up. The tree seemed so high. But he wanted to find the moon. He took a deep breath and started to climb. His little sticky toes helped him grip the bark. Up, up, up he went. The wind blew, and the branches swayed. But Pip held on tight.

After a long climb, he reached the top. He looked out. The sky was a blanket of stars. And there, right in front of him, was the moon! It was hiding behind a big fluffy cloud. Slowly, the cloud moved away, and the moon shone brightly.

“Hello, moon!” said Pip. The moon seemed to smile. Pip felt so happy. He had found the moon! He sat on a branch and watched the moon for a long time. Then he climbed down and went home.

Back at the pond, all his friends were waiting. “Did you find it?” they asked. Pip nodded happily. “The moon was just hiding. But I found it!” And that night, as Pip lay on his lily pad, the moon shone down gently, lighting up the pond and all his friends. Pip closed his eyes and smiled. He knew the moon was always there, even when it was hiding.

Goodnight, little moon. Goodnight, little frog.
